E-Commerce is on its way

For the sixth quarter in a row Asseco South Eastern Europe recorded better results compared to the same periods of the previous years.

A message from Piotr Jeleński

I am pleased to report that Asseco South Eastern Europe continued good work in the last months of 2015. After signing the agreement with Maroc Telecommerce, we started the roll-up of NestPay® which will be Asseco South Eastern Europe first payment platform on the African continent. We also strengthened our position in the Public Sector having won our so far biggest public tender in Croatia together with APIS IT for electronic file management for the Croatian State. Apart from that we signed an agreement with Intesa Sanpaolo Group Italy for the delivery of the mobile banking and authentication solution which is part of its internal digital transformation project called Digical covering five markets. We also enabled Komercijalna banka to offer to its merchants some eCommerce services for the first time on the Serbian market and concluded a number of contracts for the ATM and POS deliveries for, among others, OTP Banka Croatia, KentBank and Primorska banka.

Some of these contracts and many others contributed to the 2015 third quarter results which were better compared with the same period of the last year. For the sixth quarter in a row Asseco South Eastern Europe recorded better results compared to the same periods of the previous years. Sales revenue after three quarters amounted to EUR 83.6 million which was an increase of EUR 3.3 million compared to the same period of 2014. Apart from traditionally good results in the Banking and Payment business units, there was a slight improvement of the sales revenue in the System Integration business unit compared with the first two quarters of 2015. Nevertheless such good results of ASEE after three quarters were brought mainly by the growths in Banking and Payment.

One more thing I would like to mention was our continued commitment to the initiatives aimed at developing software programming skills among students. At the end of November we co-organized the Ready, steady, code! 2.0. Hackathon competition in Croatia. Attracting and maintaining best talent on the market is and will always be one of my priorities.

As the year is coming to an end I would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients, partners and employees for their contribution to ASEE’s good 2015 year and to wish You a Happy and Successful 2016!

Piotr Jeleński
CEO, Group President of Management Board of Asseco South Eastern Europe
