Asseco supports the safety of road traffic

Asseco Poland has signed an agreement with the Chief Inspectorate of Road Transport (GITD) in the field of technical support and maintaining a software license for the Central Processing System operating in the Automatic Traffic Control Centre (CANARD).

The Central Processing System in CANARD supports automatic recording of traffic violations related to failure to comply with speed limits or red traffic lights. Under the agreement, Asseco will be responsible for technical support for CANARD infrastructure equipment in GITD, as well as for maintaining a software license. The contract will be performed for a period of 60 months.

Signing another agreement with the Chief Inspectorate of Road Transport is an expression of trust and a confirmation that we are very well prepared not only to develop systems that improve safety on Polish roads, but also to take care of their on-going and proper functioning, said Piotr Sitek, Deputy Director of the Public Administration Division, Asseco Poland.

The Central Processing System, developed by Asseco, was launched in June 2014. The project was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
